Yes! You rock!
Amanda Miller at 10:05pm November 3
You know... I do happen to have a degree in Sociology and I can honestly tell you he is far far from a socialist.
Sarah Poppy at 11:11pm November 3
You apparently don't listen to him very closely then. He wants to take my money that I work hard for and give it to some schmuck down the street that didn't finish high school and works at fucking walmart. To me that sounds like socialism. Not once has it worked in history so why the fuck is it going to work now. I want to keep what I work for. If ... Read Morethat schmuck down the street doesn't want to work then he doesn't deserve shit.
Amanda Miller at 7:41am November 4
No apparently you have absolutely no idea what he is talking about. You don't make over 250,00 dollars do ya? Cause if you don't you won't have to worry about him taking your money. Right now our Republican President is bailing out banks (socialism) and allowing our government to buy stocks in banks (socialism). No its only socialism if a black... Read More man wants to help out the middle class (which most of us are). Even Mitt Romney says Barack isn't a socialist. There are many many many more reason to not vote for McCain/Palin. They want to take away a woman's right to choose even in cases of rape and incest. They also support a federal amendment that would ban gay marriage. So not only is a vote for McCain/Palin an anti-woman vote it is an anti-gay vote. McCain's economic plan includes taxing my health care benefits, which I have a huge problem with. Oh and one last thing I don't tell you how to do your construction job so don't tell me how to identify a socialist.

RIP Del
Posted: 03:37 PM ET
SAN FRANCISCO, California (CNN) — Lesbian activist Del Martin, at the forefront of the battle for same-sex marriage in California, died Wednesday in San Francisco. She was 87.
Martin’s partner of 55 years, Phyllis Lyon, was by her side at the UCSF hospice, the National Center for Lesbian Rights said. Martin and Lyon, 84, tied the knot on June 16 in a ceremony officiated by San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom.
Long before Massachusetts and then California legalized same-sex marriage, Lyon and Martin were integral parts of the early movement for lesbian and gay rights.
In 1955, they founded the nation’s first lesbian organization, the Daughters of Bilitis, and launched the first lesbian publication, The Ladder. Martin co-founded the Council on Religion and the Homosexual, and was also a founding member of several other organizations, including the Lesbian Mother’s Union, the San Francisco Women’s Centers and the Bay Area Women’s Coalition. She and Lyon were co-founders of the first gay political group in the United States, the Alice B. Toklas Democratic Club, named for author Gertrude Stein’s long-time partner.

And this is why the Yankee's and their fans are the devil
NASHUA, N.H. (AP) -- A woman accused of running down a man in her car after a Red Sox-Yankees argument in a bar never hit her brakes as she accelerated toward the small group he was in, a prosecutor said Monday.
"She never braked, and she accelerated at a high speed for about 200 feet. She went directly at this group of people," prosecutor Susan Morrell said of Ivonne Hernandez, who is charged with reckless second-degree murder in the death early Friday of Matthew Beaudoin, 29.
Authorities won't describe the argument beforehand in Slade's Food & Spirits, but witnesses said it heated up when Hernandez identified herself as a New York Yankees fan. Like the rest of New Hampshire, Nashua, 45 miles northwest of Boston, is Red Sox country.
Bartender Tanya Moran said the argument spilled outside, and at least one person in a group that included Beaudoin began chanting "Yankees suck!" when they saw a Yankees sticker on Hernandez's car.
Hernandez, 43, allegedly gunned her car and struck Beaudoin and his friend Maria Hughes, 21. Hughes had only minor injuries, which Beaudoin's sister Faith said was because her brother shielded his friend.
Hernandez, of Nashua, was arrested at the scene. She acknowledged she had been drinking and refused to take a breath-alcohol test, said Morrell, a senior assistant attorney general. Hernandez said she had been in an argument with the group.
"She indicated to police that she wanted to scare this group of people. She thought they would get out of the way," Morrell said.
Hernandez was ordered held without bail after being arraigned Monday in Nashua District Court. The charges, including aggravated drunken driving, are felonies, so Hernandez could not enter a plea.
Her public defender, James Quay, did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
Beaudoin died of massive head trauma at a hospital, Morrell said.
Moran told The Telegraph of Nashua during the weekend that Beaudoin came to the bar regularly to socialize, sing karaoke and have fun.
"He came to hang out. He didn't really drink much," she said.
Chris Lovett, a disc jockey at Slade's, told the New Hampshire Union Leader that Beaudoin kept to himself and "wasn't an instigator."
Faith Beaudoin said her brother, who lived in Nashua, was a 1997 graduate of Nashua High School who worked dealing poker at Sharky's in Manchester and Nashua. She said his organs, including his heart, live and kidneys, were donated in hopes of saving other people's lives.
"He was always helping people when he was alive, and he's still saving lives," she said, choking back tears during the weekend.

News from the '60s
NEW YORK (AP) -- Albert Hofmann, father of the mind-altering drug LSD whose medical discovery grew into a notorious "problem child," died Tuesday. He was 102.
Swiss chemist Albert Hofmann, in 1998, long maintained that LSD had many medical uses.
Hofmann died of a heart attack at his home in Basel, Switzerland, according to Rick Doblin, president of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, in a statement posted on the association's Web site.
Hofmann's hallucinogen inspired -- and arguably corrupted -- millions in the 1960's hippie generation. For decades after LSD was banned in the late 1960s, Hofmann defended his invention.
"I produced the substance as a medicine. ... It's not my fault if people abused it," he said.
The Swiss chemist discovered lysergic acid diethylamide-25 in 1938 while studying the medicinal uses of a fungus found on wheat and other grains at the Sandoz pharmaceuticals firm in Basel.
He became the first human guinea pig of the drug when a tiny amount of the substance seeped onto his finger during a repeat of the laboratory experiment April 16, 1943.
"I had to leave work for home because I was suddenly hit by a sudden feeling of unease and mild dizziness," he wrote in a memo to company bosses.
"Everything I saw was distorted as in a warped mirror," he said, describing his bicycle ride home. "I had the impression I was rooted to the spot. But my assistant told me we were actually going very fast."
Three days later, Hofmann experimented with a larger dose. The result was a horror trip.
"The substance which I wanted to experiment with took over me. I was filled with an overwhelming fear that I would go crazy. I was transported to a different world, a different time," Hofmann wrote.
There was no answer at Hofmann's home Tuesday, and a person who answered the phone at Novartis, a former employer, said the company had no knowledge of his death.
Hofmann and his scientific colleagues hoped that LSD would make an important contribution to psychiatric research. The drug exaggerated inner problems and conflicts, and thus it was hoped that it might be used to recognize and treat mental illness like schizophrenia.
For a time, Sandoz sold LSD 25 under the name Delysid, encouraging doctors to try it themselves. It was one of the strongest drugs in medicine, with just one gram enough to drug an estimated 10,000 to 20,000 people for 12 hours.
Hofmann discovered that the drug had a similar chemical structure to psychedelic mushrooms and herbs used in religious ceremonies by Mexican Indians.
LSD was elevated to international fame in the late 1950s and 1960s, thanks to Harvard professor Timothy Leary, who embraced the drug under the slogan "turn on, tune in, drop out." Actor Cary Grant and numerous rock musicians extolled its virtues in achieving true self discovery and enlightenment.
But away from the psychedelic trips and flower children, horror stories emerged about people going on murder sprees or jumping out of windows while hallucinating. Heavy users suffered permanent psychological damage.
The U.S. government banned LSD in 1966, and other countries followed suit.
Hofmann maintained that this was unfair, arguing that the drug was not addictive. He repeatedly said the ban should be lifted to allow LSD to be used in medical research.
He himself took the drug -- purportedly on an occasional basis and out of scientific interest -- for several decades.
"LSD can help open your eyes," he once said. "But there are other ways: meditation, dance, music, fasting."
Even so, the self-described "father" of LSD readily agreed that the drug was dangerous if in the wrong hands. This was reflected by the title of his 1979 book: "LSD: My Problem Child."
Hofmann retired from Sandoz in 1971. He devoted his time to travel, writing and lectures, which often reflected his growing interest with philosophy and religious questions.
He lived in a small village in the Swiss Jura mountains and remained active until his early 90's.
102 is a damn long time to live. Rest in Peace Dr. Hoffman

NEW SEX TAPE SCANDAL
LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Vivid Entertainment is releasing a sex tape allegedly starring Jimi Hendrix.
A biographer of Jimi Hendrix says he's seen the film and doubts the man in it is the late guitarist.
The Los Angeles-based adult entertainment company said they obtained the sex tape from a memorabilia collector.
The 11 minutes of footage, reportedly shot in a hotel room about 40 years ago, features Hendrix -- or someone who looks like him -- engaged in various sexual acts with two women.
The company said they consulted with experts to authenticate the footage. But Charles R. Cross, author of the Hendrix biography "Room Full of Mirrors," has seen the film and doubts the man is Hendrix.
Cross said the face and nostrils of the man depicted in the video don't match Hendrix. He also said the man in the tape is wearing more rings than Hendrix was known to wear.
"This is somebody that looks like Jimi or is pretending to look like him, but it certainly didn't look like a dead-on match to me," Cross said Tuesday.
Hendrix, who headlined the legendary Woodstock Festival in 1969, died of a drug overdose in 1970.
Seattle-based representatives for Hendrix's estate declined to comment about the tape.
Now this could be an interesting sex tape..... I wonder if those Plaster Caster girls are still around?

Because this just totally explains how I feel about things....
Soaring over cliffs
And gently floating down to land
She proudly lifts her voice
To sound her mating call
And soon her mate responds by singing
Caw Caw Caw
Come with me
Lesbian Seagull
Settle down and rest with me
Fly with me lesbian seagull
To my little nest by the sea
With me that's where you belong with me
I know I can be strong when you're with me
She skims the water
At the new time to seek
Her fish and she emerges
With one squirming in her beak
She plays among the waves
And hides between the swells
She walks the beach at twilight
Searching for some shells
Come with me
Lesbian Seagull
Settle down and rest with me
Oh fly with me lesbian seagull
To my little nest by the sea
With me that's where you belong with me
I know I can be strong when you're -- you're with me
And in the evening
As they watch the setting sun
She loooks at her as if to say
The day is done
It's time to find their shelter
Hidden in the dunes
And fall asleep the
Music of the moon
You and me
Lesbian seagull
You just watch the world oh my
Just you and me lesbian seagull
Side by side with me 'till we die
('Till we die)
You and I
We can make it if we try
Our love will keep us flyin' high
Until we die...

Eckart's killer set to die in May
NEWS staff report
For Dale and Connie Sutton of Boggstown, justice may finally come for their daughter's killer this spring.
Michael Dean Overstreet is scheduled to die on May 31 by lethal injection for the murder of the Suttons' daughter, Kelly Eckart, 18. "But I'm not holding my breath on that," said Dale Sutton, who was attending a memorial service for crime victims Sunday in Shelbyville.
If no further appeals occur, the execution should go forward, he said.
In late November, the Indiana Supreme Court upheld the death sentence for Overstreet, who was convicted in 2000 for the 1997 abduction, rape and slaying of the Franklin College student.
Eckart was abducted and murdered on Sept. 26, 1997, as she was coming home from work.

Apparently you have to lick it...
So then we are sitting at the kitchen table and we are watching the cows and this smaller cow like tries to mount the larger one and I'm like holy shit what are those things doing. Apparently they were doing what is commonly referred to as "bulling". Well me not being raised around cows I have no idea what this means. I keep insisting that I think the smaller cow is in fact too small to bred and it didnt have horns confusing me all the more. Well Lissa's family got a huge kick out of this and were laughing hysterically at me. NO ONE WOULD TELL ME WHAT WAS GOING ON!! So Lissa and I started wrestling around cause she wouldnt tell me, which I dont think her mom appreciated very much. Finally finally they tell me what is going on. I was right..... that one cow was too small to be a bull in fact it wasnt one at all. Yeah Lissa has some lesbian cows..... it really must be in the water there.

Northwestern Consolidated School District is retarded...
Northwestern superintendent Mary Giesting expanded on the statement after the board meeting.
"What's different now than say 10 years ago is Doc is not there in the building during the day," Giesting said. "So, when he gets after a girl in practice, when he's really pressing a player to be better than what they can see for themselves, he's not there in the building the next day to smooth things over and build them up."
Now I'm a bit confused here by this.......
The Northwestern Consolidated School Board voted 5-2 Wednesday to replace Pringle as girls' basketball head coach with Bryan Graham, a Triton Middle School teacher and a varsity boys' basketball junior varsity coach the last nine years.
Now someone tell me how a man who works in a different building entirely is going to spend more time during the day with the players....... idk SOUNDS PRETTY FREAKING RIDICULOUS IF YOU ASK ME!

I'm really getting the itch to ride the motorcycle. Its freaking driving me nuts, especially since there have been a few 60 degree days in Indy. Damn Hoosiers are making me jealous of the weather there and that is totally something I never ever thought I would say.
I put Lissa on my phone plan so I can talk to her when she drives home from work and her not having overages on psycho $$$$ on her mom's plan. It's a pretty cool phone way better than that Motorola Razor POS I had. It's this one......

I found myself getting kinda old when trying to learn how to use it. I kept thinking that I didnt need half the feature and shit. Oh well I suppose that is enough for now. I will leave you guys with an Amanda Overmeyer video. Oh one last thing Lissa should get her new truck tomorrow. She is super excited and I am a little too!
